Dear Parents and Friends of GFC,
Thank you so much for your involvement and willingness to foster your child's creative talents!
You and your child have expressed interest in participating in our Christmas Special : "Twas The Night Before Christmas".
Our show will be produced by Generation for Creation. We will have a variety of acts including the following:
Manger Scene: Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, 3 Wise Men, Angels, Lamb, and Cow will silently act on stage as soloist sings "Oh Holy Night".
Singers and Musicians: Several young talented children will sing or play powerful Christmas Songs. We would like to have duets, trios, quartets, group singing/ musicians playing to Christmas songs. It is our hope to have singers and musicians share the stage and share a part of the song, rather then having several solos. The sound will be magnified with more singers and musicians, it will feel very warm and loving as we listen to the harmony of several voices and music.
Suggested Songs we want performed:
Silent Night, Do You Hear What I Hear, O Come, All Ye Faithful, Sleigh Ride, It Came Upon Midnight Clear, It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, Deck the Halls, Holly Jolly Christmas, I'll Be Home for Christmas, Joy to the World, Rocking Around the Christmas, Twelve Days of Christmas, We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
GFCK Channel 25 News Skits written by Tracey Lauderdale: Our plan is to prerecord the skits.
Skit 1: Santa Claus is Coming To Town
Skit 2: Store Runs Out of Milk and Cookies
Skit 3: Sunny Skies
Skit 4: Chris Has a Date with Santa

The following songs will be sung or used and can not be repeated by soloist in the Christmas Special: Jingle Bell Rock, Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and Up on the Housetop.
-Dance to Jingle Bell Rock
Sing-A-Long Christmas Song with the Audience
We plan to hold the show at the Bradley Academy Musem on 412 S. Academy Street on December 11 at 4 pm and on December 12
after the Christmas Parade. We will finalize the time to start the play after we get clarity what time the parade will end.
Rutherford County Christmas Parade: Set for December 12 at 1 pm. Bradley is having their Open House from 3 pm - 5 pm. Any child who wants to participate in the parade must also be willing to complete the Christmas Special " Twas the Night Before Christmas". The show is our priority.
Casting and Practice Times are very important. We have serveral parts being played by Generation for Creation students. We will also need several understudies. Performers with the best behavior, ability to work with others (staff and other actors), commitment, dedication, and talent will be casted in the most imporant roles. Horse play, unexcused absences, and lack of preparation will not be tolerated. Please make sure your child is serious and mature enough to handle the practice times and the serious nature of putting on a quality show for the public.
Practice Times will be during our class time at the Boys and Girls Club: Thursdays from 5 pm - 7 pm. We may have additional rehearsal when we get closer to the show. I will schedule times for musicians and singers to come in once I find out who will be performing. We may rehearse at another location on other days if needed.
Tickets will be $5. We are going to have to make reservations due to the size of the performance hall.
Please either email me or call me and let me know what your child would be interested in committing too. We appreciate your support and involvement with Generation for Creation.
